Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > 14MZ Interference?

I got a new 14MZ. Great radio, btw. When I went to set my frequency on my RX, I could never get it to work per the instructions. I called Futaba this morning, told them my woes, and the first thing the rep said was "Turn off your florescent lights". It worked instantly. Apparently, the extremely low radio frequency device that sets the frequency of the RX uses the same bands that some florescent lamps do. Go figure.

I spent about two hours on this last night, just trying to save new 14MZ owners some hassle.

Wow, that's good to know. So now you have to set the reciever up in the dark.

RX Setting

I also had an issue with frequency changing until I found that you need to have the receiver OFF until you actually say YES to the change and then turn it on.

Yep, ran into that one too.

All in all, this is a great first attempt at soft frequencies. I don't have many complaints.

I just seems that whenever synthesized systems are employed, there are interference problems one way or the other.

Wow. The 14MZ rocks. I flew with it all day. It's an amazing piece of work.
