Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > Avant Metal Gears

Hi,

I was going over the instructions for the EVO/Avant conversion and saw that CX strongly recommends metal geared servos. Does anyone have any experience with plastics stripping? I really wanted to use my 9252's on this bird. It would be a darn shame if I had to order those airtronics 94758's that everybody says are so good

half way down my post here is him reccomending metal gear servos over plastic, 9255s over 9252s. many many people are using 9252s in theirs, and successfully. but aparently it HAS come up, and stated the use of 9255s to avoid any problems.

The warning is there for a reason !!

If you fly hard and use the head mod i would not recomend using 9252s i had issues with mine, i have not had one strip
but i know (from a very good source)that they have failed more than once Chet
this is on the EFX version only
the FX version seems to have better luck with 9252s
