The fun fly is held at the Sun Valley Fliers field which is approximately 3 miles north of the loop 101 on Cave Creek Rd. The cross roads are Cave Creek and Jomax. There is a map and GPS information on the web site.

Yes, Camping is allowed. It is dry camping and there is no fee.

Just a reminder, the Pre-Registration cut off is February 25th.
For those who plan on camping and are arriving late or early, please pm me for the gate combination.

We are bringing back the Sunday morning drag races with two classes
- Limited - 620 MM blades or smaller
- Unlimited - pretty much everything

We will also be trying a micro-heli pylon race.

And please, remember your night flying gear as we do have a night flying event

Ive never been in a fun fly before and was just wondering if they send you a rutine to practice or is it just free flight or what ? I plan on flying intermidiate... and on the registration form i printed out i dont see anywhere to put what level i will be flying at ?? or do they just ask you at the gate ? thanks...

You pretty much show up and fly! If you think you can safely perform the moves called for...you can pretty much fly in any of the events. Some of them have been announced (see above), we're still debating the rest.

How Many Coming??

I haven't seen much buzz about this event, especially compared to the Vegas event of a couple weeks back. So who's in?? How many are coming??

I plan to be there Friday afternoon. This is a great field with WIDE open space in front, covered pits, and lots of nearby hotels and restaurants. Should be fun!!
