i have the basik corona with the aliminum frame. carbon reinforced feathering plate and carbon flybar. mega 16/25/3 motor with heat sink.
cc 35 amp controler. hs 85 metal gear and hs 81 on tail. 401 gyro and im running a 2600 lipo pack and im getting an outstanding 18 minutes of flying how long does your fly. Ron

You have got to be kidding. That's and amazing flight time. What ever you are doing keep up the good work. I was close to 12 minutes when I had my Mega and gp3300's, so you are doing exceptionally well. I'm jealous.

Man I've never had any flights over 8 minutes with an 8 cell 3000mah pack . I have some 2100mah lipos I'm selling that get me around 10 minutes on my BT Corona though

i think my motor is a 1800 kv and im running a 12 tooth pinion with tons of power.with the 11.1 volts its crazy power. i dont know how im getting 18 minutes but i am Ron

Wow, 18 minutes is a long time.

I'm running a Hacker C40T turning an 8 tooth pinion operated using a Hacker 40B ESC powered by an 8 cell 3700 mah pack. Usually I get 10 to 11 minutes before I have to land.

I just want more air time!

Depending on my flying style...I am getting up to 12 minutes...wide open and just hovering and light patterns, up t to 16 minutes. Hacker C40 8-L motor, 40 3P Opto, Ultimate BEC and 3 cell 4000 miliamp home made packs with cooling ducts between the cells. This keeps them cooler and I get longer run times. My heli is not the lightest out there to begin with. If I would go nuts and get the carbon fiber frame and all that stuff...It would stay in the air longer I would guess.

18 minutes? wow, how many parelle packs are you using? i'm running the same setup as yours; mega 3 turn, castle 45amp, but with polyquest 3s2p. the max flying time i've gotten so far is 12 minutes.

I get my cells from True RC out in Chicago. Nice powerful cell. I dont runn any paralel...I run 3 cells @ 4000 miliamps in series. I really like the performance. Here is a link to what my packs look like. Hope the link works....

Flight time

I had a stock Corona with a 16/15/3 on a 4200 lipoly

Got 25 min hover time

Tried adding a 2200 pack for a total of 6600 for fun, but was just to heavy to control and motor/esc was getting hot.

Have a new BT loaded w/elevated tail....waiting to finish to try flight times...hoping for 15-18 min on 4400 lipo

my mistake, i'm actually running a 3s pack no parallel. i will find some new lipo for it. have you guys try out the new max amp lipo? they're pretty cheap and has good mah.
