These are K&S #1150 Aluminum seesaw arms for the JR Venture 30/50

The stock plastic seesaws, which apparently prone to breaking are $14.99 for a set with/out bearings...

I'm wondering if I put a stronger part in it's place, if it didn't break where the breakage would move to and whether or not it might be in a cheaper part.. or, at best a linkage would pop off.

I had a Hawk Sport that I plowed into the dirt from 100' up nose first and I didn't break any of the wash-out or seesaw arms.

I know there is designed-in weak-points so that more major components don't break, but I think there may be a way to still keep crash costs down if the breakage can be moved to a less costly part.

My crash yesterday was a tip-over crash into soft grass. It's cost me over $70 in parts =\

Maybe I'll try and get my hands on a stock JR seesaw and see if it fits before I try one of the more expensive aluminum parts.

Something is always going to break. I would say save the money for fuel and fly the heli and not worry about changing everything.

Seeing is that the Venture and Tiger are both made by Hyundai, I'd imagine that many upgrades for one would be compatible with the other. I believe one of my friends(either Tim Tompkins or Foxden) is using those arms on his Tiger. You could PM them and find out. IMHO your money is better spent on fuel.

That's because Century has a superior part/machine.... UH OH!! Watch the die-hards whine over that one.

Al,

Foxden is the guy who is using these arms and also the Al. fly-bar control assembly from KSJ. He hasn't had any crashes to verify their resilience.

I did love my Hawk Sport, it held up very well, crash costs were minimal and at one point I had 4 machines, 1 to fly, 3 for back-up parts. I've often contemplated, that when funds allow I'll pick-up the new Hawk Pro as a ecno-beater of sorts

I am considering a Tiger 50. How many upgrades does it require and are there other parts prone to breaking?
