| It's for sure better to use a separate BEC, I had on CCPM 3 standard servo and on tail digital - it behaved not nice (sometimes slow cut-off motor, sometimes even worse), I fully recommend to use UBEC or similar unless you can really be sure, that it can deliver 3 Amps, speed controller BEC problems happen always in the worst moments, and you probably will never find out why you crashed.
Nowadays I use even digital servos (ie. JR DS3401) on CCPM and super servo for tail, never had any issue. I use HobbyWing UBEC (http://www.hobbywing.com/en/product_show.asp?ID=81), I guess any ext. BEC ~3Amp will do well, as long as it's small and light. |
