New & Emerging R/C Helicopters > All CF-Metal eCCPM belt driven tail 370 size Micro-Heli

here is what I saw at the RC Expo Beijing.

This a all CF all metal 370 size belt driven tail eCCPM micro heli. The retail price should be well under $250. I have a prototype in my hand and will bring it back to California for more testing.

My thought is to test it out first. If everything looks promising I will sell 100 testing birds at wholesale price ($150-$200) and have the brave people here to test it out. If all bugs can be worked out, then I will import more for retail sale in the U.S.

Will post more pictures and flying video shortly.

3D Pro? I have only "1D" under my belt, what am I going to do with "3D"?

Looks pretty good. I would have thought that the motor would have mounted from the top.

Looking at the design, it appears that the motor can be mounted either way (see the cutout in the upper brace. If the motor were a little shorter, I guess that it would have been mounted from the top. With the installed motor, it would interfere with the main rotor disc.

Absolutely correct. I think I will mount a outrunner from top for testing.

Yep,

I spotted this bird at a local HK shop, the guy was testing it out. It is extremly stable when hover and pull really well when you gas it, he had a gy401 and a cheap outrunner mounted from the top with small 8c Li-po pack on it. If you ever see this bird, you will be amaze how good it fly and best of all the tail is so well design and you will never see it vibrate or shakes, perfect for all 3D flyer. Surely, it has all the bling on it. No more mod required.

Since it is sligthly smaller than a Hornet 3D and being belt driven, it is capable of pulling all those stunt in a tiny area.

I wish he sell it to me but sadly, they are still testing it out and may be available in mid Nov..

A few more pictures. Any more picture can be posted by request.

Just talked to the maker of the heli. He said 2 other US people are talking to him about OEM the bird or becoming the sole vendor for it. Either way I would just not be part of the game. I want enjoy the hobby w/o all the headaches of selling and support. The shop owner is a very nice guy, I think doing business with him is not a big problem. If no one else wants to import the bird to US, then I will. I am not looking for making a lot of money off it, but just want to share a nice bird with all the hobbiest. I am coming back to California on 1st. of Nov. and hopefully put the bird in air within 1 or 2 weeks after that. There are sightings of it in HongKong, Taiwan, and Russia. If all those tests come in positive and my bird flys well I will order the first 100 and hopefully will arrive our shore by Jan. sometime.

Hi,

Just pre-order mine from HK. The latest news is this new bird is going to equip with new flybar system similar to logo10, which provides more tilting angles and much stabler flight... i need to play with it before i can comment further. can't wait

Here is a picture of the latest head. I could be wrong, but looks like the Duzi's Hornet II head. I have all the parts coming this week, Hopefully have it in the air by next weekend.

Doesn't weigh much

Here is weight comparison

This new bird with a Justgofly 400DF motor (no Pinion, main blades, electronics, servos, and battery) comes in at 6.8Oz or 194g

A Hummingbird 3D Pro ARF w/ stock BL motor and pinion (no main blades, electronics, servos, and battery) comes in at 7.1Oz or 201g,

So the flying weight of this new bird shouldn't be much more than 400g if not under it.
