Hehe, just thought I would show off my Avant. I have just over 2 gallons through it now and it simply ROCKS! It is so smooth and tracks like it is on rails yet as fast as you want it to be when you ask it to move.

I started with a basic Freya 60 kit with no upgrades to any of the Hirobo parts except getting a Delrin main gear and pinion to get the 8.45 ratio I wanted and a 555 mm flybar. It came in at 9 lbs 14 oz ready-to-fly minus fuel. Here are some pics followed by my equipment list.

YS 91 ST
Hatori SB16FH
SAB 710 main blades
RotorTech 95 mm tail blades
4 x Futaba 9252
JR G500T/8700G
Model Avionics TJ Pro
Stens filter/clunk (thus no header tank)
Fromeco 2400 mAh Li-Ion pack
Fromeco Arizona regulator
Airtronics 92186Z receiver
CarbonXtreme V2 dampeners
Stock paddles with brass weight

I'm being a bit conservative at 5.3 V on the adjustable side of the Arizona. I might try bumping it up a bit to see if I feel any difference; but, honestly, it is fast enough as it is.

JKOS: Niiiiiiiiiiiicccccceee man. You're going to love that bird. I really enjoyed mine when I was flying one. We do need to crank those servos up to 6 volts though I've got a 9252 on throttle right now, and it's getting the same 6.1 volts that the Airtronics 758s are. It hasn't missed a beat. As long as you're running a "regulated" 6 volts you're good. Key word "regulated". It does make the servos snappier which is what the Avant is all about. Be sure to keep us posted on how it does...

That's a nice looking Bird! I just ordered my Avant from CarbonXtreme. I couldn't find the Carbon fiber canopy option on thier website. Do they still offer the carbon canopy?
