Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > FAI F3C with Avant??

I have both the Hirobo Freya and X-Spec. I am considering modifying one or both to perform the new FAI F3C schedule for 2006/2007. I realize that speed and power are necessary ingredients for success. I do have a Futaba14MZ, 9255 servos, GY 611, YS 91 (Special Edition), and Hatori exhaust.

What recommedations would you suggest:
Freya conversion? X-Spec conversoin? main blades?; dampers (MiroRidge)?; Augusto's Rotorhead??; Evolution 90?

Thank you any input.

I'm not the right person to ask about the new FAI schedule but looking at the large number of sales of Avants to Asia there seems to be a lot of interest in the Avant as an FAI machine for the new schedule.

I witnessed the Avant in action and the Pilot in control was Pete Niotis!
Though Pete is one of the best pilot around the Avant itself is one great looking and performance machine.
You have to see it to believe it!

Thank you for the quick response.

But what specifically should I modify, use and order??

An X-Spec needs no upgrading. Jeff Green and MRC already did the upgrading. Only thing you could do, if you wanted to, is convert to an Avant. Of course, beyond that, I can't see what you could possibly need.

any of these helis can be used in fai but how well will they do thats the question the hirobo heads to be used in fai hover the best with 555 flybars we have been using longer blades 700 710 720 blades
yes i know some of you are going to tell me that longer blades interfer and you are right they do but remember you are not 3ding these machines but if you auto to hard to the ground you may boom strike also.
in my experance with hirobo and some of my buddys that fly them
ccpm is not way to go for fai i had two machines that i have been working with all the same servos and my non ccpm machine hovered
better than my ccpm machine did same blades same paddles same heli same weight same motor same set up your opinion may be different you will have to try your self to see what you like.
on hirobo helis you can not run a hard dampner 60 degress work the best in a hover.
you notice i have mentioned hover many times that is beacuse if you can get a model to hover in a 15-20-25 mph wind in a hover you can make it performe up stairs.

I fly a e3 with a seven head big money but the evo 90 has the same head that rudgel feil uses but plastic for the money this heli and head have worked pretty good change the flybar to 555 and you will have a good fai machine
more latter i have to go back to work
thanks jeff
