I have asked this before. Thought I would place it in its own topic.
Calling all tinkerers!!!
I want to use a brushless main motor and esc. in place of the original main motor.I would like everything else to be stock. I only want to bypass the main motor and esc. I have no other transmitters that are CCPM capable, so using the other components of the stock 4 in 1 is the only way for this to work for me.
My problem is that I am electronicly challenged
Some of you guys are doing some great bypass work, but I have not seen this mod. attempted

I would also like to do the same thing to the tail motor, if it works for the main.
What do you Guys think?
Thanks, Gmax

i have done a mod like that but I used a JR rx and tx but i believe I have found away to use the stock one. You need to unscrew and remove the label side of the case. Under that is your rx and you need to gently remove that from the case slowly working it starting from one end. It may be held in place with a little glue. Unlike a normal rx with pins on one side this one has pins on both sides witch is how it connects to the rest of the 4 in 1. There is 2 sets of pins on the back the top set is for throttle and the bottom tail. You need now to get 2 servo extens and a splitter and remove the square sleeve on the ends of the 2 servo extensions exsposing the pins. Now plug 1 exten into the bottom set of holes in the 4 in1 and then the other end into bottom set of pins on the back of the stock rx. Now take the other exten and plug that into the top holes of the 4 in1 and the other end into the splitter. Now plug your brushless controller into the spillter and plug splitter into top set of pins in the back of stock rx. Now you must find away to mount all those wires. The reason why the throttle on the 4 in 1 still has to be pluged in is becuase if it is not it will not activate or calibrate the gyro. Next is power and one way is to conect the two powers and negs to the same plug and everything should work.

There is one problem with this mod and that is it may not work due to you have no control over your throttle curv by using the stock radio and you may have to much power. Your tail may not be able to keep up. I'm am using a e-flight 4200 kv brushless and my throttle curv is set at 60% at full throttle because I had to much power. So this is one way to wire up using stock rx but i am not sure it will work with no curvs.
