Has anyone used the Hirobo torque tube conversion in the Avant? I'm trying to do it to mine and have found that you can't mount the front bevel transmission into the frames without a spacer. The frame width is 26mm and the bearing block is 14mm. I therefore need 6mm spacers on each side of the bevel gear bearing block to place it in the frames. (this is the bevel gear with the dogbone on the other end that engages into the torque tube.

Anyone come up with an easy way to do this?

I thought of the plastic spacers that offset the lower frames on X-Specs. But they're 7mm. Maybe you can machine them down a bit?

You can use the frame spacers from your xspec

Just use the frame spacers from your xspec lower frames they need to be turned down slightly. I think its the ex bearing block you need to use to make it fit properly though.

The Torque tube kit you can use inthe Avant is the one from the EX or eagle series. The one for the plastic version relies on spacers molded inthe freya plastic frame. The ones for the EX are the kits that can be used on the Avants. If I'm not mistaken I think the only thing you'll need to use the one for the plastic freya is the front bearing cage to replace the one you have. I don't have the part number of the outer case but the part number of the whole unit is 0414-201
