The Newtron Senior Heliman Location: Hot ASS Phoenix Az
| LOL. OK Here's the deal... :)Ummmmm, I can appreciate the fact that a few of you are discussing disclaimers and warnings but it's really not that necessary. This is a common sense decision. Beginner or Pro..
This maneuver is NOT new and NOT nearly as dangerous as some would think. We've done that same maneuver with our GOLD Futura's back in 1995.
How about when Robert Gorham would hover his helicopter nose-in at eye level and kiss the nose of his canopy. That's a much more dangerous maneuver.
I also remember not too long ago when many clubs/fields felt like 3D flying, on the deck inverted hovering etc. was considered dangerous.
My point is... Most, if not all creative maneuvers with any degree of difficulty or substantial risk/fear factor is going to be classified as dangerous. It's supposed to be. That's what makes it so unique!!
A pilot a few years back won an event at the PHOENIX FUN FLY by taking off his shoes and hovering his helicopter with his feet/socks on. Everyone applauded his creativeness and his control. However, after the event he was criticized for his lack of safety. How? Why?
Nonetheless, the crowd quickly dismissed these statements as jealousy of some of the "OLDER" factory reps. and the maneuver was logged in the history books..
To make a long response, ENDLESS...
When Curtis 1st flew for Minature Aircraft many people thought he was dangerous also. But his aggressive, creative flying style back then is now the norm for 3D pilots today..
Just something to think about..
Keep pushin'...
The Newtron...
