I have not yet seen a worthy electric machine though. They are all built too light. Too wind sensitive etc. For the (F3A?) aerobatic planes, electric is rapidly becoming normal practice.

Well............

I have seen a couple of models that are going to be competing this year, a Miniature Aircraft Ion-X and an a Century E-Predator. Both seem to be workable but the 42V limit makes it a bit more difficult to get the ESCs to work efficiently. The models fly fine though.
