| First off - landing like a feather will never break a skid - and even landing with a bounce will not break one :-) Landing like a rock is another matter...
You can use Plastizap with Zap Kicker to repair the skids. Spray one of the parts with Zap Kicker and let it dry 60 seconds. The put some Plastizap on the other part, and put them together. When the puff of smoke appears in about 3 seconds - they have bonded together.
You can use unwaxed dental floss to wrap the intersections of the skids & legs - and then hit it with CA to harden it - for a lightweight reinforcement.
With practice, you will get to the point where you don't break skids anymore unless you just crash out hard.
