Hi Guys,

I am looking to get one 8mm Starter Shaft for my X-cell 60 custom.. Anyone out there still carrying this unusual size of starter shaft?

Thanks

The T&T starters are 8mm. You can see one here . The 8mm piece fits over the 6mm shaft of the standard XCel and they also make one to fit on a 5mm shaft.

T & T starter??

Hi Guy,

looks nice is it fitting over the rubber one on the starter or connected directly to the starter? Who carries that?? Got and URL?

Thanks

Rubber one? I am confused about that. All the X-Cells I have seen have a straight 6mm shaft sticking out of the top of the heli. This 8mm thing goes right over that. I used it because the shaft on my Fury is quite short and the people I know who used the standard X-Cell flex starter on the short shaft have had problems.

I bought one of these, at least I think I did since their listing sucks I can't quite tell but it is the same price and it comes in blue and purple which was the two choices when I bought it. Change the last letter to a P if you want the purple one. The thing I really like about this starter is that the one way bearing is in the base of the unit and after starting your engine nothing on the starter is spinning. If you don't like these guys you can probably get it from www.ronlund.com but I couldn't find a listing in their online store and you would have to send them email, or call them or something.

Good luck, Guy

I was walking the muttlies and realized what you were asking when you asked about the cone The shaft will connect to the starter in either of two ways. It will bolt on direcdtly or you can stuff it into the rubber cones if you still need to use it.
