Long story but I will try to condense it ......

Kirrajas, real name Raj Das from the Dallas area, advertised a DataSafe-2 for sale.......here is the link to the ad...... if you scroll to the bottom you will see where he changes the post to reflect it the original DataSafe....

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/p1492780/#p1492780

And so I purchase the DataSafe 2 , received it to find out it is the DS-1, which I already own..... Raj agrees to refund my $$ and pay for my return shipping...... Raj uses his friends PayPal account to complete the entire transaction but when I get the refund, it is only for the cost of the item and not the return shipping.....

For the last three weeks, Raj has been jerking me around regarding the lousy $5.50 it cost me to ship the DS back to him. To me, it has never been about the $5.50 but rather, the principle of the matter. Raj has repeatedly lied to me first by telling me that he sent me a Money Order and then by telling me that his buddy (through PayPal) would refund my shipping expenses.....

Three weeks went by and no money order has been received. I have repeatedly asked Raj for the MO serial number so that a trace can be started but he has refused to send me the serial number or a scan of the custumer stub as he promised to do on several occasion. The truth of the matter, in my estimation, is that there is no receipt of serial number because he never purchased one nor did he mail one to me.....

Finally, after I exhausted all requests for him to re-imburse me for my return shipping charges, I got tired of hearing his excuses of "I'll take care of that tomorrow" or "be patient, it's on its way"...... I decided to contact his buddy whose PayPal account he used....... The fellow reluctantly did send me the funds via his PayPal account.

I gave Raj one last chance to come clean, send me the MO serial number or fess us to stroking me for the past three weeks and he has again refused to send me "proof" that he sent anything....he has asked for me to stop PM'ing him.....

This may sound very "petty" for some of you but in reality, Raj's conduct is not acceptable in the RR community as far as I'm concerned.

The reason for my exposing Raj is in the hopes that some other RR member does not fall prey to his antics....... His word cannot be trusted and if you deal with him , you stand the chance of getting burned in one way or another.....

PM me with any questions regarding this matter. I have kept every PM between Raj and myself and can show that I have given him every opportunity to make this right. He has chosen not to do so......

I guess $5.50 is more important to him than his word or his reputation......

Person,

$5 bucks is what a gallon of gasoline will probably cost you by the end of the year......

Like I said, I got my refund for both the DataSafe AND for the shipping..... the shipping refund came after I contacted Raj's buddy, not because Raj refunded it......

It is the principle of the matter that is at stake.....

Raj repeatedly lied......he could have easily sent me the MO serial number so that a trace and a stop payment could be placed on it..... He repeatedly refused to do so.....

I also doubt that this will "ruin him" nor is that my intent..... The purpose of my post is to warn other RR members who may potentially do business with him and who may become a victim.....

If you can't trust a man's word, what can you trust ???

I first read this post earlier this evening and it's been on my mind ever since. I've always stayed out of the controversial posts and I may be playing with fire here....but just for the heck of it let's consider this scenario from an angle more poeple might relate to.

Let's say you order $75 dollars worth of merchandise from a vendor who says shipping is free. After you get your credit card bill, you notice he billed you $5.50 for the shipping......how upset are you going to be? Probably not very.....you figure it's an oversight and you contact him to get it sorted out.

Afterall, you got what you paid for (or in Jaun's case - he got his initial refund) but you're still concerned about the $5.50 you shouldn't have had to pay. Then everytime you contact the vendor he gives you promises of making it right or just plainly blows you off.

Again it's ONLY $5.50....so do you let the vendor off easy and just forget it? Or does the principle of it all eat away at your last nerve?

Kirrajas may be a helluva nice guy....I don't know him....but if he gave his word, he should be held to it. So far I've only heard one side of the story and as we all know....there are always 2 sides.

I can only say TWO BIG THUMBS UP for the buddy of this guy, who refunded the shipping from his PayPal account to make things right! It shouldn't have come down to him to make the refund since he appeared to be an innocent bystander in the transaction....but that makes him an honorable man.

Maybe I am completely wrong in my scenario above...and I'm sure I will get told so if I am....but it comes down to being an upstanding person who honors his word.

Cop: Sir, have you been drinking? Driver: Why? Is there a fat girl in my backseat?

Juan - thanks for the heads up. Not only do you say the item was misrepresented, but anyone who wants to maintain a rep here will make it right, especially when it was his fault to begin with.

There is every reason to expose those RR members who lie and defraud anyone
on a deal regardless of the $$ involved. This guy probably thought he could get away with it thinking Juan would eventually let it go without doing anything about it - Boy was he wrong and now his Rep will take a proper beating as it should. Its the principle, intent and money here. Anyone who thinks Juan is a cry baby can pay the difference if they think its so insignificant.

TREE,

You have missed the point....... it was never about the $5 bucks.....Please go back and read my post a little more carefully....the others that have posted so far and that have PM'd me have gotten the point perfectly......

But........for the sake of discussion, what would you say the cut off should be before someone should be allowed to take exception ???? $10 bucks, $20 bucks, $50 bucks ???

It is obvious to me (and others) that kirrajas (Raj Das) does not feel that his reputation is worth $5 bucks.....

I can also tell you from personal experience, that Juan is 100% honest, and goes above and beyond to do the right thing in all situations. If the rolls were reversed in this transaction, Raj would have been VERY happy the way Juan handled the problem.

I also agree with Al. Juan is a stand up guy, I was trying to figure out why my Muscle Pipe 1 wasnt working with my YS motor recently. Juan went as far as explaining the problem to me and also offered a hatori pipe to remedy the situation. He also shipped it to me before he received payment, cause I had talked about living here in alaska and not haveing too many good flying days left. He's gone the distance in helping me out and I dont even know the guy! Even though yes it is only 5 bucks, its the shadyness behind it that makes all the difference. The way I see it is if someone will steal 5 dollars, they will certainly take more if the opportunity arises. Plus its fales advertising anyways, stating it was a gen 2 when really it was a 1. All in all Juan is a good member and hes got may backing completely. Thanks again juan!

First off, this is not an on-line store we are talking about. This is a transaction between private parties. In this case, the selling party (kirrajas) promised to re-imburse me due to his mistake and then stroked me for the next three weeks telling me:

#1. That he would have his buddy, who's paypal account he used to conduct his business, re-imburse me via PayPal....

#2. That he mailed me a Money Order. Again, that was three weeks ago and I have not received anything......he has repeatedly refused to send me the MO serial number so that a trace can be started.....

I told him that if I received the PayPal funds from his buddy and then afterwards, the MO arrived, that I would either ship it back to him immediately OR that I would donate the proceeds to the Katrina relief fund and send him proof that I did so. It would be his choice.

Asside from all that, any reputable on-line places like Heliproz or Rick's would definitely credit you for shipping expenses IF they screwed up and you had to return the wrong item.....

Places like Century would probably not, but that can easily be the topic of another thread entirely !!!

yea i see what your getting at. from what i do understand though for a little clarification is that you DID receive the refund for the wrong thing for however much but that DIDNT include the shipping amt$ right?

i had something similar happen to me. I bought a os50 hyper from someone in Canada said i would get it in a week. Week goes by email once no response, after about a week emailed again threatening paypal action, get a response in under 6hrs, promised a full refund but has to deposit money or some bs, ok cool, 3 days go by no refund, emailed again.

FINALLY get the refund notice through PP but it stays pending for 10 days or some crap, then it fails to go through, "oh oops wife spent the money that was for your refund bs bs bs yatta yatta", whatever so this time i DO report it to paypal, 5 days later it refunds to my CC.

so some time later, some dude messages me and said this happened to him too almost exactly. however in both cases we got a full refund so i let it end at that which is why i havent posted on him, as i have no proof that he actually DIDNT ship it, cause after all it IS canada and them screwing up, or holding it hostage in customs isnt entirely out of question.

very very frustating as it was for a helicopter i was expecting, but it ended up going on backorder and still is and this was 2 months ago, like you said another story another day.

Hmmm - You can usually tell the guilty ones by their nasty replies. People often react this way when both caught and exposed.

How and what am i exposed about. That the man got all his refund .HE GOT ALL HIS REFUND BACK.This is a done deal.....Juan has nothing better to do so hence this..........What about all the good trades i have made.Does that apply......OR is Juan the character judge here..Looks like that way.Oh well....

The GG list is like a credit report, here on RR.Based upon which i seem to be 100%.

What JUan says is like someone going to a car dealership to buy a car and saying that he has good credit, but wont let the dealership check his credit....

SO any intellegent person with common sense which is not common anymore can make their call......

Once again(Shemp since i am soo guilty)Juan Rodriguez can kiss my ass.

Shemp, you are absolutely right..... Someone above said that there is two sides to every story.....

Well, folks, there is the other side for you.....

The whole point of this, kirrajas, it to show you that at least I am a man of my word.....

I gave you my word that if you did not resolve this privately, that I would expose you publicly for what you are......Your response to my last attempt to resolve this with you was "DO NOT...DO NOT send me anymore PM's"

You stroked me for the past three weeks showing me and now the others, that you are a liar and a person whose word cannot be trusted....

Again, I have every single PM between you and I to show that every single word that I have posted is the truth, something you may not be familiar with.....

Anyone that PM's me is welcome to have any or all PM's so that you can see what kind of effort and the type of insults I received from kirrajas during this entire 3 week journey.....

Lastly, what I'm trying to accomplish here has already been clearly stated...... That is, to alert all other RR members to be wary of dealing with you. What you say and what you do is to be carefully scrutinized.......

Any more questions ??
