Falcon50SS Senior Heliman Location: Peoira, Arizona
| I am hoping some one can point me in the right direction. I have a Falcon V1 that is giving me troubble, it seems that every once in a while the heli will give a jump or twitch either while flying or when starting to spool up. I thought there might be something loose on the chopper so I searched from one end to the other, and thought that it was the starter cone, (I have the metal one) the set screw was a little loose so I tightened it and went flying. That seemed to fix it for a while then suddenly I had the same problems again. Now I really took the heli apart, everything except the rotor head. Found nothing!
Went flying again, everything was great for about a week, then the problems started again. I started looking at the radio and servo's, mind you the servo's are new, (I tried replacing them first). I also noticed when I shook the reciever from the 8U the servo's went nuts! Well I sent the radio in for service and shure enough the RX had a bad board, well I thought I found it, I had put my old T6 in and I fired up the heli and had no problems for two weeks. Then it started again, man I am going crazy trying to find out what is wrong!
Well I am back to the drawing board trying to find out what is the cause of my problems.
Here is a list of what I have replaced / new:
All servo's , gryo,
(it jumped on the ground causing the purchase of a crash kit.)
boom, feathering shaft, gromets, landing gear, tailshaft,
mainshaft, main gear
Any help in finding where my interference is comming from would be great!! |
