Engines Plugs Mufflers Fuel > Plug Question

After about 30 or so flights on my R 30 with a TT 36
my engine starts to idle rough and inconsent. All I do is change
the plug ( OS # 8 ) , and it runs great again for another 30 to 35 flights. I checked the used plugs and they glow nice and red with the Ni Starter.
Is this mormal for plugs in a Heli ?
Thanks in advance
Fred..

Plugs should last longer unless abused. Check the filament. If its got a fine white dust on it, you may be running your engine too lean.

Also, try an Enya 3. Sometimes when an OS8 doesn't last, an Enya 3 will do well. By all means, make sure it's rich enough. Add two or three clicks rich and go fly. If you don't notice a decline in performance, chances are you were too lean before the change.
