Engines Plugs Mufflers Fuel > Header Tank and Vibration

I recently have two issues. My header tank is dropping to 50% capacity with fuel still in my main tank. Also, at about 1/2 stick (0pitch) and high speed the heli shakes. This didn't happen before. What I have done is I replaced some fuel lines with higher quality lines, I moved my muffler pressure line a little and made it a bit longer, I was getting the na na na's so I richened it up a little as well. I checked the clunks etc. I do see some foaming in both tanks. My guess is that I'm either too rich or too lean. Help...

It's a Hawk IV with an OS32

It sounds like you have an air leak in your system. If the header tank fills up with air, then it's sucking that air from somewhere while it's sucking the fuel. Check the header tank cap. Check the lines feeding the header tank from the main tank for air leaks.

How bad is the foaming in your main tank? If the vibrations cause dramatic foaming, then the bubbles can work their way into you header tank as the heli goes throough its manuevers.

If your engine is running on the rich side, it can cause some vibrations as it jumps back and forth between 2 and 4 cycling.

What is your headspeed at midstick? If you are overspeeding the head, you may get some major shaking going on. Get yourself a tach or a friend with a tach and make sure that your headspeed is ok.
