| I just took a peek inside the box of Venture 60 at the LHS and it's pretty interesting. Here's what I noticed;
- 120 degree eCCPM
- stacked metal sideframes
- Rear mounted fuel tank.
- belt driven.
- Fiberglass canopy
- plastic yoke and blade grips.
- part resin, part metal swashplate.
- skids mounted to frame with rubber dampers.
Comparing it to a Vigor standard, I would say the venture would be a better choice. Plus JR used a lot of parts from the Vigor like the whole tail assembly.
Another interesting feature is the Venture 60 looks an awful lot like the Voyager GS (gasser) so I think there would be a conversion kit later on so for those who have either models can flip flop between nitro and gasoline.
Plus the price of the basic kit at approximately $550 isn't a bad deal comparing it to the base price of a Vigor standard.
If one was thinking of using this heli as a beater, I'd only consider getting a more durable canopy (maybe the Vigor standard canopy) to preserve the stock unit for special occations.
Also, I just got a peek at the Venture 30 CP (ARF), seems to also be a good deal at $333, it's too bad 30's don't excite me anymore. |
