here's a video of my 1st attempt to actually fly an rc heli (my x400)
using warped Aeronomi plastic blades, trim is off by 50pts.

How about reviving this thread for those of you that have pictures of your x400 series helis and your setups? I'll put some of mine up after my recent rebuild. Flies as well as a properly setup Trex SE.



My slow Trex transformation............Kidding!! Only using the shared/ common fitment parts. The main frame assy and all aluminum parts are still ARK/Helimax components.
-Full ARK aluminum head (Plastic main blade grips) and alum tail parts
-carbon fins
-Align 315 wood blades
-Align tail blades
-3 Hitec HS-65MG servos for cyclic
-Futaba 9650 for rudder
-Futaba GY401 gyro
-Futaba 146iP receiver w/Deans antenna
-Castle Creations 35amp ESC with Park 6V BEC
-Align flybar and lightweight TRex 3K paddles
-Align landing struts and skids
-JustGoFly 450TH with 13T pinion
-TRex XL canopy trimmed to fit
-Microheli idler gear and shaft for tail belt
-Microheli titanium mainshaft
-Microheli TRex 450 steel tail hub

this my mx400 pro with some align trex parts! i have the trex 450xl boom and trex se tail hub/grips.. it flies very nice and smooth but i need to make some room for a bigger heli so its up for sale!!
its listed in the electric classifieds.

I fly mostly with commonsence but they are the 1250's I received a 1700 from rc-expert that seems to have enough power, but I guess I need to get some stronger cells.

When I took the pic the 450 wasnt ready to fly yet but new its all fitted out and ready to roll. Havent had a chance to fly her yet but I have a feeling its going to be sweeeeeet!

ruready any 15c bat should be good. i use 2100 &2200 mah for seady flying and 1320 for in my house or just a set up.
i try to use no commonsense cuz when things are flipping around commonsense is lost - for me anyways

Heres some new pics of my baby. She was hovered for the first time today, right in my living room. Took her up about a foot off the ground and she just hovered there. I swear I could have taken my fingers of the sticks if I wanted too shes so stable (but I didnt, hehe)
