Anybody still flying XRBs? With winter coming, I'm tempted to dust of the old XRB and get some indoor flight time.

Hehe, you gotta love it. I like the fancy footwork. Only kids can do that!

Yeah, hehe,

I asked him afterwards why is he crossing his feet. He told me that he was stepping on his feet to get his mind off being so nervse. lol

No kidding.
Maybe I should try that with my REXY when I'm attempting inversion!

I'm still flying my XRB. Lately I don't have time to pull out my bigger machines(EVO50,Logo10 & Trex)and go fly. Shoot I take it to work and fly in our shop. Trying out a set of StarFlight CF blades now. They work OK but could use a little more balancing. Still better than those fancy foam picnic plates. Horobo really should come out with "Advanced" set of blades.

Welcome my son, Welcome to the machine

I flew my buddies the other night. The XRB is still a cool bird!

It is definitely a cool bird, just I wish it would be a bit more stable against wind, to fly it outside ...

yeah right, for this I have a Lepton. But I think the point is, that all of those bigger than 450 sized heli are challenging to fly around the house, neighbors complain all the time ... so I thought XRB with carbon blades would be possible, but ... still sensitive to wind !

I hear you. A little bit of wind and this little heli is no longer listening to you!

I have a mini shuttle and it experiencing loss of power after seven min of flight time. Iv sent the lipo back to mrc and they replaced it but that was not the problem. Sent the whole heli back to them to have it checked out. My first thought was motors were getting hot and starting to go bad. I brought the issue to tim at mrc and he said the motors are coreless and shouldnt be the problem. If it is the case my blade cx stood up a heck of alot more than hirobo. Also would using the carbon fiber blades make for the xrb be hard on the little heli?

Carbon will make the XRB a little touchy but far as being hard...Not at all. The carbon blades are not stiff and do flex a little.

Im sorry, I meant would the carbon blades make the coreless motors work harder?

I did not feel they work harder, but compared to the foamies (pick-nick knives ) they bend less - means bit less stable in hover.

I fly the carbon blades on mine....I really like them allot better..
they definitely give you a little more control and since they are stiffer...I believe they're a little more efficient and the heli works a little less creating the same amount of lift.

Anybody find a good battery replacement ... for the $50 originals?
