I just returned home and I have to say, Ron and the rest of the staff did an awsome job again this year.

I think everyone needs to give a special thanks to Dan for keeping the impound running as smoothly as possible. He REALY works hard at this event and is a real trooper. THANKS DAN, your efforts are very much appretiated!!!!

The noon demos went up another notch this year. Most of the pilots were diggin' dirt and surviving. Very nice flying from all.

This was my first time at the AMA site. What a great site.
The grounds are awesome and the museum was beautiful.
Now if only it were about 500 miles east...

Another GREAT IRCHA!

WOW,

I got back last night around 7PMish EST to my home in PA. Hope everyone traveling got back to their families/homes safe.

Terrific flying, great friends just hanging out all at a super flying site! RonK and staff did another stupendious job again this year. The changes implemented this year really worked well. IMO the event ran very very smoothly. I had a blast!!!

HOT and WET are the words I think that I'll use as I reflect and remember IRCHA 2005. PLUS I think we got to see Jesus when the storm blew through on Thursday as we held down our RED tent through it ALL. I've never seen rain like that before or been out in it that's for sure. And I hope I don't get to again... The support everyone gave after the storm blew through was simply awesome. Pilots helped out the vendors and folks who lost and or had damaged property without being asked. Everyone chipped in to lend a hand. The AMA site staff was great too as they got the site back up so the event could continue.

I have many folks to thank but here are just a few thank you's to go out:

Andy, thank you for the terrific beach front tent space.

Dan R., thank you for helping load up my vehicle up on Sunday. No traffic on 70 on the way home!!!

Jason M. - aka - BLING, thank you for being a kewl room mate and showing off that T-Rex and "secret project".

Bad Alex - thank you for being a roadie and helping me pack up the tents on Sunday.

Mark F. - can't wait to see all those parking lot hi-jinx photos.

Mark R., great coverage of the event as well!!!

It was great seeing all of you and catching up. Too bad the IRCHA Jamboree is only once a year.

Best Regards,

Had a blast at IRCHA this year. Met some old friends and made some new ones. Got a little flying in. Finally got to see the Synergy up close and personal. Took some cool photos and vids. Ate out and gained some weight. Yakked about helis and laughed a lot. Saw some great flying and even better carnage. Thank goodness lady luck shined and no one got seriously hurt during the drag race accident. The blades blew off on spoolup and a small piece knicked the starter's leg. That could have been a disaster. Many thanks to Ron and his support staff for all their hard work. See ya next year!

It takes time. Friday's coverage took 6 hours to process (2pm-8pm). Saturday (twice as much) is being worked on right now (Sunday was travel day). Stay tuned.

IRCHA 2005 was absolutely great, it was well worth to do the 10 hour trip there.
I also like to thank erverybody who was involved to run the event. From the friendliest Ladies in the registration booth to the food vendor who provided
these delicious Slushy's. I like to thank all the pilots, some came as far as from Germany and the UK, who gave it all and put on this wicked show.

IRCHA Heli Jamboree, THE WORLD'S BIGESST AND BEST 3D HELI EVENT

The IRCHA folks are the finest people to meet. I will be back next year - no doubt.

Cheers

Kay

Does the new o.s 90 that Allan is using have the OMI Carb mods or viper head?

No, the O.S. engine is all prototype O.S. parts: their own single plug head, O.S. pump, O.S. regulator. Alan's machine along with Jason's Synergy both equiped with the same engine & exhaust were running very strong at IRCHA. We can all hope that O.S. has hit the nail on the head with this SZ engine due in the U.S. late this year according to Steve Helms.

Drag race incident

I've been asked to remove this image for reasons I agree with.

"Here's an image of the blade as it detaches from the heli. You can see the debris from the blade cracking in half and the portion of the blade that I think struck the starter (lower left leg)."
