I think I am going to be the proud owner of a gas heli after xmas... but the thing is im new and have never even owned a gas powered model of any kind. So could anyone tell me some stuff about them? Like what I should do to NOT break it and how do I tune them?

Welcome to the wonderful world of gas helis,
You may consider going to a field,or hobby shop,where some one with gasser experience is,.therye not hard to fly or tune,theyre just different than glow machines,(engine wise)and need a few things done a little bit different,I put some gas heli stuff up on my website,i'm still adding to it,but it may help you,but most importantly,get help from someone near you that is actually flying gassers proficiently.

I want an X-Cell Gasser so bad I can smell the octane in the air....

I've inquired about the gassers before and the guys who own them for the most part love them and just about have me convinced to get one next year.

One thing you want to do is have a PCM system, NOT FM in the gasser due to the noise from the ignition systems.

I don't own one yet, so I can't advise you on the tuning of the engine, I'm sure one of the regular gasser pilots will be happy to help you out there.

Which one are you getting? The X-Cell, JR, or the Vario?

I think I'll go with the X-Cell personally, I understand it is the lightest one of the three unless I just stumble onto a deal on one of the others..

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the X-Cell being the lighter of the three I mentioned.
