| I've been flying a nitro 30 for about 3 months (and love nitro), but wanted something i could practice with at anytime/anywhere. A lot of local guys fly electrics, mostly T-REx, but they all said "Get the blade" you cant beat it for the money.
I got one yesterday and wow....how much fun is that.
I just wanted to say though that I've put it into the fence or ground or almost me about 5 times (no damage at all) because of the horrible horrible cyclic response -- I have moved the weights in but am going to take them off. (much better with them moved in, but still not "right"). The way it is set up is obviously so beginners can fly it right out of the box, but if you've already flown heli's BE CAREFUL....it begs for overcorrection with those weights on. Oddly enough it hovers rock solid with little inputs, but the big ones take literally ~1 second to work (an eternity when a fence is looming, lol). O well.....i am pretty sure that I can fry the included Nimh 650mah battery this weekend...i've already put it through several flights and immediate 1C recharges, lol....still fitting 700ish mah in it, lol....nice and warm, just the way i like em. |
