I am very new to this hobby (only a few days now) so forgive me if I use the wrong terminology.

I had an accident the other day and I broke the "Rotor Head Set" of which I replaced. Now I am getting a buzzing noise coming from what I believe is the "Sub Micro Servo". It's the unit on the other side of the main motor right where the canopy opens.

It has sort of a buzzing/crunching sound. I hear it whenever the battery is connected and the throttle is completely off. It doesn't seem to negatively impact anything (I do enough of that).

Any thoughts on what would cause this?

Thanks.

You might have something bent an its resisting the servo movement. Try moving (GENTLY!) the servo arm with the power on in both directions and see if the sound goes away.

I Hate waking up to hear :Just relax, the Ambulance is on the way

It is also possible that the servo gears or other parts of the servo have been damaged due to the crash. For peace of mind, it might be best to replace the entire servo:

Since the servo is working, I doesn't make sense to replace it. The noise is not a problem, just strange.

the crunching sound might just be a tooth or two broke off inside of the servo when it crashed

adding a breath of fresh air daily...!!!

when a servo goes out during flight, the resulting crash will most likely cost more than the $15 it would have cost to replace the servo. common sense tells me that "crunching sounds" are a problem, even if the thing appears to work right.
