e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Ok, so is the Blade as good as it looks?

Thinking of picking one up with the 3D options. I flew a Raptor 50 V2 and keep thinking it would be sweet to have one of these babies in the trunk to fly on the way home when the nitro one would take too long.

What do people think? Is this as good as or better than some of the other E options?

I can't compare the Blade to other electrics because this is the first one I've owned. The Blade is a ball to fly. No, it's not a Raptor (I've got 2 of those, too), but for spur-of-the-moment flying, it's quite good. I take mine to work, and burn off a couple of battery packs at lunch. The little bugger is a bit of a handful compared to the nitro machines, but if you want to keep the thumbs sharp; this one will do it.

It's only a $200 heli; it ain't perfect, but what you get is a heli that's fun to fly, it will certainly keep your thumbs sharp, replacement parts are cheap, and it's surprisingly durable. The stock blades are basically covered balsa wood and they do get knicked up rather fast. Replacements are cheap, but even dinged up, they fly fine with a touch of tape to repair the scuffs.

I love mine. I just got her last week. I have a Tiger50 too, and the Blade is a bit more tricky to fly but its fun. I even let my brother try it, without the worry of a HUGE crash.

Thanks, fellas. Think I'll take the plunge!

The little lady says she'll get it for my birthday.

I've got a Spectra-G gasser on the way. So now I'll have every aspect of the spectrum going plus be dirt poor besides.

I think eFlite is going to make a bundle on this one.

I'm not looking forward to the battery thing. Does anyone make a solar-powered one? Just kiddin'.

It is not a t-rex, but for $200 it is worth the money. You can just throw it in the car and always have something to fly. I like mine and did the upgrade. I think it's hard to beat for the price, but don't beleive that they actually fly them at the factory. I powered mine up and the tail kept going in circles and the blades were out of track. But that is very minor stuff and only took a couple minutes to set it up.

If Nothing else they are cheap to fix. My Last Crash cost just over $50 that included a Tail Motor, Main Fuselage, Landing gear tail rotor and main blades. I am loving this thing. its a bit frustrating sometimes but well worth it.

I Hate waking up to hear :Just relax, the Ambulance is on the way
