The 90 is doing great.
I am still playing with some adjustments to get it flying the way I like, even though it is flying good.
I only have about 3 gallons thru the new kit and there are no issues with mine as of yet.
There is one small problem that has been brought to my attention, with the tail boom that seems to occur when you forget to pull out of a tail slide.
Unfortunately I am grounded right now due to a TX problem that totaled out my Stinger 50.

The Trex for example. I have a couple. It's got some major issues with quality and design. It's a piece of junk in my honest opinion from the hardware (soft screws that strip) to the swash design and the fact that the canopy doesn't fit.

Trex manufactures are manufacturers of plastic flask and buckets and then decided they wanted a piece of the helicopter pie, saying that i was quite impressed with the proto Trex 600.

how does the belt system auto?

just a few questions for flyinfool. how does it auto? I have a ep-8 and it does not auto...very easly (some may be able to get it to?). How many of the parts are aluminum when you get it for the $499 price? looks to me like the head and side plates are about it? (not bad) the head is not set up like the CCPM heli's and that is all I have had, how does it compare with the setup a little more complex? any videos? of the gohbee 90?

Thanks

There is a video on the Gohbee website.
My 90 autos great, compared to my 50 the 90 seems to hang all day at the bottom.
All of the aluminum parts shown in the pics are standard and included in the $499 price.
That includes
all metal head and main blade grips
metal collective arm
metal tail-case
Metal frames
metal upper and lower main shaft bearing blocks.

The order has been placed for the conversion kits.
I am not sure when they are expected or what the price will be.

Hey Jeff,

I finally got mine in the air yesterday. It flew perfectly first flight. Even the blades were tracking right on. I am still breaking in my Sz so it will be a bit before I get to really see what she will do. I am telling you guys ,, this is one well built heli for the money.

I dont like the grips the extensions can bend like the old shuttle and make the blades go out of track.

Good to hear Richard.

The blade grip arms are a petty thick chunk of metal.
I have not heard of an issue with them bending when not in contact with the ground.

There is a new arm in the works that is machined out of solid aluminum like the arm on the 50 metal grips, this should look nicer and be stronger. I haven't seen them yet.

That combo will give you 7.75(93/12)gearing. That may take the motor out of prime power band rpm. I had 8.45 (93/11) gearing in the stinger with my cspec and the motor was screaming, no good. 8.27(91/11) is mint with the cspec and I would venture to guess the sz would be the same.

Scott you are going to want 8.27 or 8.18 with that OS engine,,, Go for 8.27 if using an MP2 and 8.18 (if its available) if using a hatori Either will work with either pipe but the hatori is much more forgiving on the power band than the MP2 is

Ok folks i changed out the 12 tooth pinion for the 11 tooth and it sure seems to hover better with more power,, now i say hove because i have not taken the 90 into foward flight just yet, no canopy on it iam painting that , i do want to make sure there are no mishaps to be had with this big girl, it sure is stable in the hover to with the extra weight it has, on the heli i have nhp 690s, 3 9252s,jr 2700 on the tail and the throttle is futaba 3151 so the 2000 mh battery gose low in 1 tank, running 30% cool power for fuel as well, i run that fuel in my 50s to. Just taking my time with this heli. thanks all for the input. scott

My Stinger 90 should be waiting for me at my buddy's shop in northern Wisconsin mid June when I head up on vacation. Planning YS91ST4 with a Hatori SB16 pipe, Hitec 6965's on cyclic, 6975 on collective, JR 5000T/8700G on the tail.
cannot wait!

You might want to consider all 4 6965 servos.
The extra speed on the collective is noticeable and the 6965 have plenty of torque. You want a throttle servo at least as fast as the others.

Just a thought if you don't have the parts yet.
What you have selected is not a bad choice by any means.

Where in northern WI are you headed?
