Can someone tell me if the charging socket on the Blade transmitter is a JR or Futaba compatible socket, since they are different from each other. I want to replace dry cells with Ni-Mh, and want to know what type of charger to use for charging. I'm assuming it is a JR type since it is Horizon, which sells JR, but want to make sure. Thanks.

You are correct. The center pin is negative and the outside is positive. This matches the polarity on my JR6102.

Seems a bit curious though. The charging jack is "JR" configuration, yet the transmitted signal uses a Futaba negative shift. Go figure.

Go to Wallmart and get some AA rechargeables 2500 MAH Nimh batterys. They will last a long time. I think you can get like 8 of them for $17.
