e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Easy fix for blade CP

I have always had problems with my blade. I could never seem to get it under control. Sims I had no problem with (except for me being a newbie and crashing all the time). Head wobbles, drifting, spinning, no lift -- you name it, I had that problem.
I have been very let down with the blade.
I have been putting off putting any performance parts on the blade because if I cannot fly it stock, how the heck am I going to fly it hopped up?

Well I had all the parts I needed to do it --
9t pinion 370 motor
Heat sink for main and tail
tp 1320 11.1 v lipo
cf blades

Oh my goodness. I said f -it I am going to use these parts because I have heard so much about it (except the cf blades I still crash too much). The difference is incredible.
Now I can easily hover stably. I can almost even ff without freaking out. I still need tons of practice but it is like a totally different heli. All the shimmies and vibrations and problems went away. I did not even have to adjust the proportional!

If you are having problems with a stock heli - do these upgrades. It is unbeliaveable!!

So you installed:

9t pinion 370 motor
Heat sink for main and tail
tp 1320 11.1 v lipo

But you did not install the cf blades so you are flying all of the above with the stock flat bottom blades?

What flight time did you get with this setup?
what charger are you using for the LiPo?

Specifically what improvements did this madk to the tail, mine is my only complaint about my Blade, it's just too squirrelly.

Thanks,
docprego

There is another thread on here (can't think of title) that addresses some issues with the order of assembly of the main grips. Do a search and see if that helps....

I was actually using a symmetrical blade setup.
I cannot report flight time since my hovering time is short, it hardly seems fair to base an ff time experience. Also the manual that came with the lipo said not to run the battery under 60% charge the first few runs, so I have been doing that.
I am using an Vision Peak Ultra charger. I like it, it will charge 1-8cell NiCd, NiMh and 1-3 cell LiPo. It will run off 120ac and 12dc. And It is reasonably priced. I think I paid $70 for it.
I have not gotten in much time on it since the last post, because I needed some parts and I LHS has not had them in. I got 'em now, I just have to install them.
I put on the cf blades, and it seemed to not be as controllable again. I worked with the prop. and gain, and can't quite get it.

In regards to the tail, my first hover it went straight up. Stayed there for a couple seconds. And I could move it around a bit, before "I" lost control, instead of "it" losing control. Which I have experienced only indoors and on rare rare occasion outside.

Another questions for the Heli-Masters:

Which should I adjust first -- the gain or the proportional??
