Does anybody know for sure if the Hummingbird Bell 222 fuselage would fit the Blade heli?

The Blade tailboom is about 1/2 inch too long, but it can be done. I have one of my Blade chassis setup with a Century AirWolf (basically the same as the Bell222) and I have to tell you it flies on the stock motor, but only marginally. Plan on going BL if you are serious about doing this.

BL is brushless. The fuselage is going to be heavier so its better to go brushless.

I've been flying my Blade stock with the aerobatic package on 450 and 700 Etech 3 cells. 5 and 7 minute flights but it performs much better at the lower weight then with the1320 packs.

Boyd-Hoverup, How much more weight including the wheels do you think it would be over a stock bird?

I was going to...

do the upgrade/lipo with the flat bottom blades to haul around the fuse...I am assuming it will work ok...

After you've flown it, let us know if your assumptions pan out. I'm flying one with Lipo's and tried the flat bottom blades and it's still a dog. Additionally you can expect greatly reduced flight durations and main motor life with the added load. If you want to enjoy it you need to upgrade the propulsion plant.

If you have done exactly what I was thinking...and it didn't work to well...then I don't need to assume anymore

I am not in a hurry to put the body on it...I will try to keep it as light as possible when painting.

I would love to go brushless...with my own gyro and reciever...but my goal with this heli was to keep the cost down...that is what kept me from getting the Trex.

I do like the blade...it does what I expected it to.
It has also got me thinking more about electrics in general...as soon as I fall into some cash...I would like to go electric on my rappy's, but that is a whole other discussion for a different part of Run Ryder
