Has anyone setup a link cable or is there one, to use the stock 6ch transmitter that comes with the Eflite Blade CP helicopter, on the RealFlight G3 InterLink+ controller, as a trainer unit?

...was this asked before, could not find post

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the trainer connector on the transmitter that comes with the Blade was inoperable. Anyone confirm this?

The trainer connector is not inoperable. There is another post on this site that details how to make your own at your own risk. I have made two and they work great. However as far as the SIM cable goes, I am in the process of engineering one. Or you can buy one from mile high wings. I will keep you guys posted on my progress. I plan on sending some out for testing after I figure it all out.

Simulator interface for E-Flite Blade/ESky HB2

That's incorrect. Trainer plug has PPM signal and the only problem with it is that the channels are CCPM mixed. In order to use this TX with any simulator, the interface has to "un-mix" the signal, i.e. recover the channel signals prior to CCPM mixing.

We at milehighwings.com developed interfaces for Blade/HoneyBee:
1) Serial PIC interface, which can only work with these CCPM transmitters:
http://www.milehighwings.com/pic_cables.htm
2) USB interface, which can be switched from CCPM un-mixing mode to regular PPM mode, i.e. it can work with both E-Flite/ESky CCPM transmitters as well as with regular transmitters from Futaba, Hitec, JR, Airtronics, etc. (with the help of an appropriate adapter):
http://www.milehighwings.com/usb_cables.htm

We've developed these interfaces ourselvs and only milehighwings.com sells them.

Boris,

Would like to clarify my question as your answer appears to reflect a 'direct to PC' cable. I have the RealFlight G3 simulator. It comes with the InterLink+ controller, made by Futuba.

On the back of the InterLink+ controller is a connection for connecting a secondary, "trainer" transmitter. This is also explained in the RF material.

Question is... Is there a way to use the Eflite Blade transmitter, as that secondard trainer throttle?

And does your firm sell a cable to link the Eflite Blade transmitter, to the InterLink+ controller? If so, what is the model # exactly?

Frolin,

Both our interfaces for Blade CP transmitter first decode PPM signal (measure duration of each channel signal), then they perform reversed mixing or "un-mixing", and finally convert the results into a computer readable form--either FMS Serial protocol (serial PIC interface) or virtual joystick positions (USB interface).

An interface to use in conjunction with an Interlink controller, like you need, would have to decode PPM signal, then "un-mix" it, and, finally, convert it back to PPM form. This would have the same effect as turning off the CCPM mix in E-flite/ESky CCPM transmitter. That's an interesting idea, which we haven't thought of. We'll consider implemeting it (there are no technical difficulties in converting internal digital channel value back to the channel pulse duration in a PPM frame), though I can't promise any time table...

Boris,

Thanks for the reply and more details...

So the answer to the actual question though is... NO, (as of today) I will not be able to use my Eflite Blade CP helicopter transmitter, as a secondary transmitter / trainer unit on the InterLink Plus controller, that comes with RealFlight G3.

thanks...
