If I want to put a piezo gyro in place of the arlton, do I need to just remove the arlton gyro blades? Or remove the whole assembly. Anyone know the correct process. Thanks!

sorta

you need to remove the arlton completely and then put on a bracket.

litemachines sell a arlton gyro eliminator -- which just basically holds the tail blades on to the shaft -- some have made custom's "holders" but for the 6 bucks i'd just get the one from lite machines.

I replaced my arlton with a piezo and it makes a HUGE difference.

Highly recommend doing this mod

Thanks. I built a LMH for my nephew. He's a 13 year old beginner. I've been flying for 12 years or so and when I flew the LMH I thought, oh no, he wont be able to handle this. I could hardly keep the tail straight. I hope the piezo works.

I put a piezo gyro on mine and I diden't see any difference.I put the arlton back on(becouse I am going to sell it ) and I won't to keep the piezo gyro.I learned to fly helis with a LMH and I found that they are a pretty temperamental heli anyway but they are a lot of fun.
