JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Sceadu paddles on Voyager 50

I bolted on a set of Sceadu 50 paddles onto my Voyager 50 and boy what a difference!
No more pitching up in FFF, rolls like a crazy fool and stable in the hover!
All my helis (2 Vigors and a Voyager) now have Hirobo paddles on them.
Definately a change for the better!

I did the same thing on my Ergo. The sceadu paddles are great. Did you take out both the weights or just the lead weight?

I left the weights in them mate, I'm not even considering taking them out either! Why would I? It's really stable in the hover and rolls like a bullet on command! It seems like with these paddles you can have your cake and eat it too! I've put them on both Vigors too with the same results.

They are the same. I also wanted to try the 20g x-cell 3D paddles but was warned not to get them because they pitch up in FFF. They are better than the KSJs but not as good as Sceadu paddles.

Tail Blades?

Lwnemesis,

Last question....what tail blades are you flying w/your ergo-50(brand & size). My set up....is will be flying w/the 600mm wide v-blades,401 & 9253 combo for the tail.

Thanks/John

I figured you would like them Si, Florian had a good idea when he passed that info onto me as I was getting my IMZ up and running. I'm also using the weights; I too see no reason to remove them. As for tail blades I'm using 85mm NHP blades. I just spent some time re-balancing my IMZ; It was tail heavy and I could really notice it during a roll. I had to go to a bigger battery to get it to balance but now what a difference. 4 to 6 consecutive rolls in a single pass is no problem and the heli seems to be on a rail. Feels very much like my CS now.

I was using 85mm NHP blades until they got torn up in a crash. For now I got some stock raptor 30 blades on there.

Stock Raptor 30 blades are not long enough for very good tail control on an Ergo 50/600mm blades. I will put Raptor 60 blades on my tail and that should give the ability to do pirouetes in FFF. Longbow 600mm V-Blades were awesome on my Ergo 50. In an auto they would hang forever. Their 3D ability is great and they are the stiffest blades you can get. Vic Cambell is currently redoing the molds for the v-blades to make them even stiffer, because of this v-blades are hard to come by right now. Also look into MAH blades. They are as good as V-blades. The are distributed my Miniature Aircraft. Unfortunately i do not know the cost but i heard they are around 130 for the 680mm so i would think that 100-110 for the 600mm. A little expensive.

Rick,
Yeah I'm really rapt with the Sceadu paddles. Really has transformed the Voyager now, putting a Webra 52 in it this week so I'm keen to see how that goes.

I'm running 95mm NHP tailblades which really are overkill, but they work.

X-Cell 3d Paddles

I'm using the X-Cell 3d paddles on my Voyager 50. I put them on straight up and it was extremely quick. I added some KSJ flybar weights and it now flies just the way I like it. But, it's still much more responsive than it was with the red JR paddles, even without any weights in them. I am also using a shorter flybar. I'm using the flybar that goes with the Venture 3d paddles.
This combo is working very well for me.
Good Luck

I used the Venture flybar but its a little short. So I am going with the 440mm Voyager E flybar.
