The Caliber 30 is probably the best 30 I've ever flown. I flew my buddy's Caliber once, but it was memorable.

I watched nearly every brand of heli fly at the IRCHA jamboree this past weekend. All of the popular helis are very 3D capable. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Get whatever heli you can easily get parts for. Someone local with experience with a certain heli is even better way to base a decision.

Agree...

Renda,
If you already fly a Freya have you looked at the Sceadu? You will find that it flys as well and is VERY 3D'able. Besides the assembly and maintance on it will go quick since it is built very similar to the Freya.

I would recommend the 50 though not the 30.

The Rappy is also a good trasher. Cheap to fix and it will do most 3D without problem. Just get a good muffler and 30% fuel for that little 32.

I like Jason's idea, cause that's what I have! Freya 60 for my big machine and R50 for my beater practice heli. Running 15% in the TT50 engine. Works fine!

Caliber 30 the smoothest I have seen in a while

I have two of them. It was to be the smoothest performing and quietest "
plastic fantastic" you can get. I love both of mine. The phillups bolts and plastic clutch bell, and canopy are slight downsides to an other wise steller performance. Parts availability at the moment is kind of a riddle, but I am sure that will improve.I would highly recomend it! Go back through the assembly process& re assemble, as quality seems to vary imensely from one assembly to the other.

Another option!

You might want to check out Century at heli-world.com for their Falcon V2 SE or Raven, they are both 50 size machines and these heli's may exceed your requirements, and for around $350 - $400 their a great deal!
