Thanks rbiasi,

That helped me. I am fine tuning now. I will post my final setup when I get it right for others to use.

I think anyone who could afford a 14MZ would buy a better heli than the Blade...

Actually I bought this heli on impulse. There is a Radio Shack near where I live that sells r/c items. I walked in and seen it and couldn't leave without it.

I have tried selling it but with less than 4 flights I couldn't except less thand $160.00. So with that being said I just upgraded the battery to lipo 1320 and just ordered the direct tail mod. And now i'm looking for a better motor than the stock or the performance one.

Might as well enjoy it. . It's paid for. Yeah!

I stumbled upon your posting of Aug 27 '05. Since I had just bought a Futaba 7C for my HB CP2, I found it very helpful. (I've just recently got into this RC stuff.) I did find that I had to change the AIL setting in the SWASH AFR to a "-" 65% as opposed to a "+".

Have you made any other refinements to your 7C settings for the Honeybee that you might share?

Question about the 7C

I am looking for a new Heli Radio and am now to helicopters.

In reading about the 7C, Ifound:

"The 7Cs big weakness in helicopter programming is that it has just one knob so the user has to switch back and forth in the programming to use hovering pitch and hovering throttle."

Does this mean while hovering I need to switch back and forth, or while programming this feature I need to switch back and forth, but once it is set IT IS SET?

Also what would be the advantages of going with more channels than 7? I hsut want to buy one radio.

OK one more what are the settings for a 7CHF or are they about the same as the 7CHP

Thanks,

Sparky01

Tail Rotor

I am setting up a Blade with afetrmarket electronics, GWS R-6NIIH, GWS PG-03 Gyro, Align brushless, GWS ICS50E ESC for tail motor and a T9CHP Futaba radio and the tail rotor runs with these setups, I can mke it stop, but it requires all of the subtrim and stick trim the radio has to get it working. the gyro is centered and working properly, and I have the same problem even when I bypass the gyro. I am plugging the gyro/tail esc into the #4 rudder port and not the #5 gyro port. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't consider myself to be a complete idiot, but this one has me bumfoozled...

Thanks,

I fly mine with a 7CHP and the Knob is Inhibited! I don't use it on any of my Helis. There are many posts here in the Forum on how to setup a 7 on an Bee or Blade. A bit of searching will find them for you.

blade cp and futaba radios

I'm dying to try the same thing only with a 7c system only no one in my neighborhood seems to know if the stock reciever in the cp is single or dual conversion it makes a big difference if you put the wrong xtl in the reciever, so does anyone know single or dual conversion? The ability to add expo will tame the twitches alot, even though parts are cheep after a while at 18 bucks a crash it adds up.

The stock 4-n-1 contains a single conversion receiver.

Sargentmajor,
A Futaba single conversion crystal, the one with the Black and White channel identifing tag, works in the Blade. I fly mine with a 7CHP using one of those crystals. This crystal is also called the "short" crystal by some vendors.

And it will work with any crystal on the same channel as the tx. You just have to make sure if you have a low band rx you need a low band tx....

Tom..... No "D" flying....
