Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > AirTronics - Any Good?

Location:

I am new to the hobby and have been looking for my first radio. ( I whant to buy a radio first and use a flight sim to learn how to fly before I get the heli) I have decided on the AirTronics RD6000 Sport with 322z Servos. Has any one had any experience with this radio. I have read that unlike the Futoba, and JR652 it has 5 point pitch/throttle curves instead of 3. Also, are all these servos in this class ($250 radio price range) created equal. I don't understand what the numbers before the servos means. The RD6000 also has a 102z servo for $10 less. Thanks for any help.

IF you are looking to buy a 6ch radio ..look for nothing else than Airtronics RD6000 Fully capable (even ccpm) and 5 point curves for throttle and pitch , all bells and whistles ..just 2 channel short of any good 8ch radio , but way cheaper than them..

You want to stay with at least the 322 servors, they are dual ball bearings where the 102 are not. I would suggest to go with the rd 6000 instead of the sport. The sport will only give you 3 point curves where the other gives you 5 point curves. It is well worth the few dollars more. You will not be dissapointed with this radio. My son started with this radio 3 years ago, and even won the nationals this year with it, and it still hasnt been back to airtronics for any adjustments or repairs. I thinks that speaks for the radio itself.
