| I was one of the people Rob showed this engine to. First thing I did was roll the piston up and notice the grinding.. Although the piston looks ok and the engine seems to have good compression, it turns over like its full of sand . I don't know how anyone could sell this used with a good conscience, especially without stating its condition. What the add did state; was a used engine, but it also stated everything in good shape and only 3 gallons old.. Just the exterior of the engine case is a dead give away its way older than three gallons. Or its been at the bottom of his pool for awhile . This engine was sold as junk but advertised in GOOD shape.. The guy is a sham.. If others are having the same problem with the engines that he sold them, then it is not just an isolated incident but systemic of this guys lack of care for his fellow modellers. He said he would have stuck that engine in his heli.. He must really want the auto practice. As you can see those are no longer bearings.. just little blobs of metal that are just waiting to do more damage to something. We went to take it apart and also noticed that a head bolt was stripped, not the bolt but the actual case, the bearings fell out right after removing the crank since it still had the webbing I bet the webbing was the only thing keeping them anywhere close to the bearing race. So basically for what it costs to get this engine even close to functional again Rob could have bought a new one instead of this pile-o-crap... Rob is a good friend of mine, more like a brother, he is not trying to be an A$s about this, all he was trying to do was buy a used motor for a better than new price that may still have a few gallons left on it before it needed replacement. This is not a wanting something for nothing problem.. You tell me any of you would have paid 75 for this junk if you were able to see it before the sale.
It just lets me know that 37 heli crashes has no respect for any of his fellow modellers and is a real let down to this community.
