| Raven 30 to 50Just off the top of my head here are some of the items you would need:
Rotor Head:
a) Convert the bushings in the Bell mixer arms, the Washout arms to bearings. The best way would be to purchase the CNBB1001 bearing upgrade system for the Hawk IV (this would leave you with a few extra bearings but would still probably be cheaper then buying the bearings seperately, and you can always use the others later if ever you ruin or lose some in a rebuild after a crash).
b) convert the 3mm flybar system to a 4mm unit. This would require the purchase of the HI3176C control yoke, an HW3173A flybar, some CNBB0840 bearings and some HI3167F bearing cups for the seesaw assembly, along with the 4mm paddles (HI3179A).
c) a set of Hurricane 600mm composite mainblades
Power system:
a) the CN2224 primary drive gear to replace the HW3045 from the 30. This will give you the proper gear ratio for the 46/50 size engine.
b) the HW3018 46/50 engine mount
Tail boom & rotor system:
CN0520A - C/F torque tube conversion kit
CNBB0360F tail rotor bellcrank bearings
HI3102B - tail rotor bellcrank
HW3062A - longer tail boom
HW3202C support struts
Landing gear:
The more heavy duty HI3122A struts and HW3123A skids.
This should about do it. After pricing out these parts you then can decide if it would be less expensive to sell our Raven 30 and use that money towards a Raven 50 or to do the conversion. |
