I had my XRB for a while and since I'm a noob in R/C flying I tend to crach a lot!

Anyways, I have done Rick's blade mode and is on my 3rd pair. I got fad up with changing blades (and buying them) all the time so the last time I crashed, I just put on more tapes over the bent area (on both side so to balance them out, sort of). I've done this like 4 times to the same pair of blades and it actually flies pretty stable.

How could this be?

Not sure exactly how you're applying tape on your blades but if the heli flies to your satisfaction I would say not to worry about it. Continue doing what you're doing and just have fun with it. Balance and track on this indoor heli is much less critical than nitro heli's. Enjoy.

And I found out one more thing with heavily taped blades, tracking doesn't seem to affect stability that much when compairing with freshly taped blades. I mean when the XRB is lifting off the ground it wobbles a bit but when it picks up speed it becomes stable.

Maybe because they're heavier than bare foam blades and yet more flexable than CF?
