take a peak at my answer to a fat american corporation that refused to help out those of us in our US military serving overseas... I think you'll like it....

what exactly did they refuse to do?

Sell you one?
Give you one?
Give you a discount that you deem large
enough to say 'thanks for serving in the US
military'?

And unless you were going to be near alot
of water, what does a Pelican case provide
that most any other will not?

easy pal... no one here looking for a free lunch due to my choice of careers..... Pelican cases-4-less refuse to use the US postal service.. which means no way will they ever supply ANY one living over seas with an APO post office box... APO for those of you that dont know stands for air post office.... simply put... shipping charges only apply from wherever in the US to New York where people like me fly to and pick up mail and bring it back to europe and beyond.... Now who was looking for a handout....????/ hell, I never even asked for a discount....and I know of several companies that are more than willing to give away loads of free merchandise to those who put their lives on the line every day as a little "thankyou" for what we do....

Z,

Jason is correct. There are numerous companies that will not ship to APO addresses. So we in the military are refused product based on our location. Normally the the fact is that the company has a shipping contract with some company like UPS or Airborne. This makes it inconvenient for them to go to the US Post office and mail the item to us GI's overseas.

To give you an idea of companies that discriminate the US Military stationed overseas they are:
Sony.com
Dell.com
Gateway.com
Buy.com and so on...

So no he isn't looking for something for nothing, he is simply looking for the ability to buy the same product you can get in the states.

Fair?

I had the same problems with shops that would not ship to my APO addy while I was based in the UK...so I had the shops ship to my parents and then they shipped the item to me in the UK

I'm not trying to crawl up anyone's backside but
you gave no context to your posting.

No clue re: APO
No clue what pelican cases 4 less is/was
No clue what they did or did not do.

Good show Jagboy. I've went to *War* myself with many companies that won't ship to FPO or APO address.

I'm overseas US Marine Corps myself.
