I just go a hold of a Kalt Cyclone 2, never built , for really cheap. This is my first time flying heli's.....so I am looking for parts. I have searched for a while and have come up with nothing. If anyone can direct me or give me some links to check out it would be appreciated. So far i have been making the parts that have broken.
Its a nice heli but definately not a for a beginner.

I's all bad news I'm afraid, parts are a bit like rocking horse manure.
I too am new to helis,I started ~3 months ago with a cyclone 1 which had the flat tail belt I hope you have the toothed belt which as far as I've found out is the only difference between the 1 and 2 models.I managed to buy two second hand machines out of the USA as like you I was just starting out.We could start the learning to fly with the wrong machine club!! I was told the only thing wrong with learning to fly with this machine is the unavailibility of parts!!
Any way I can help or swap stories give me a email donlynn@i4free.co.nz I even have dig photos and yes they do fly!!
I do have a few spares what do you need? I've found the hardest part is the "tapered boom ~22-20mm OD" cos now days they are all parallel. There was some bits on ebay but for me to freight them here made it uneconomic.
I was told today that once you have rebuilt it three times you normally have learnt to fly!!

one of my buddies has a cyclone2? and an almost complete cyclone 1 kit, he doesnt know how to fly well, and he would like to get a raptor.
I'll see what he wants for the stuff, if anyone is interested! what parts did you need? i know he has complete frames, landing gear, complete tail rotor assy. and the meat and potatas of the mast assy. he also has the flapping head, which i believe was the differnce between the 2, not sure though.

I've got both heads and they seem identical, every body told me to bail and get a raptor,I would have spent the money to buy a raptor by now and you can get bits.
The cyclone 1 and 2 collective linkage train has a LOT more slop like 2.5-3.5mm at least, this from new condition, the worst bit is the sleeve which straddles the base of the mast,I feel a lot of it's slop, like 3/4 could be taken out if you made up a bearing assy for this bit where it rotates in the side frames.
The swash plate has offset balls.not much you can do about that,Ray suggests in his old testament that this is not too much of a issue
I'm slowly swapping all the Z bends for ball links and replacing all the rest.
Unfortunatly the tail rotor pitch change assy is quite sloppy and has a tapered 22-20mm boom.
YSRRider if you think the tail belt is the same as something current I'd be thrilled to know!!!
Bugster if you decide to run a cyclone and your as unco-ordinated as I am you need/want all the blades, booms, complete tail assys ,belts, mainshafts and plastic main gears you can get your hands on.
You maybe want servo/ radio gear mount, complete head assy(meat and three veg ) .The side frames are fairly resilient,Ive tried throwing my cyclone at the ground at ~ 45 mph with the disk at a vertical (yes)attitude on its right side pirroetting at ~2 times a second at a approach angle of ~35 degrees to the ground, didn't appear to bother the side frames,I've still got 2 spares-flat type drive belt not tightened enuf I had ~3-5mm deflection at the front, DO NOT operate a cyclone with this system, tail failure is VERY scarey ,I have the cyclone 2 toothed belt system now.
Id be interested in any boom and belts if they look good that you don't want.
You must check that you have the "autorotation update modification" as written in my factory cyclone 1 manual as one of my "spares"machines I have appears to have NO auto bearing but it is a Cyclone 1
Havn't managed to damage the clutch/fan stack yet but currently I'm thinking of changing the shoe bearing material to a piece of brass as I'm currently having a continuing wee problem with this bit binding a bit and not releasing on slowing down, makes the heli wow wow on decents
I'm having a ball learning to fly it!! currently making kindling out of my blades for the fire learning how to auto! .
This place is a wealth of info and energy-awesome.

i didnt say anything about no tail belts! my buddies has the toothed belt, I couldnt imagine it any other way! do some research on the net, maybe you could find a company that deals only in belts, they might have something, you know what? one of the small local hobby shops that i rarely go to becuase they dont have $#IT, they have a bunch of old kalt parts still on the wall, i know i saw a belt, i should stop in and see what it fits! when i got my buddies setup for flying, i couldnt figure out why it kept spinning, finally discoverd that teeth were missing off the belt, you couldnt tell that it was slipping, but it was!.(he had a spare belt)

It is the toothed belt I"m after the flat belt is manure and I wont have it on my machine, thats why I changed it to the cyclone 2 system which is the toothed belt,I'd appreciate if they have new tail belts
part # 0100-067-6
or the wee piece of wire ~1mm by ~15mm long dia that acts as the pull off spring in the centrifugal clutch
Bugster you may want to check yours ,make sure the two wires are straight when at rest.I have just discovered this tonight so I pushed the wires thru a wee bit and now it is sweet but I suspect the wire may have lost it's temper ,this has been a problem for me since I got the machine
