Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > R60 Pitch HELP !

Heres an e-mail request I sent to Fritz the cat. I'm also posting here looking for as much help as I can get:

Fritz,
Much thanks to the information on your site. I have used it like the holy grail for my R30. Now I'm building a R60. My delima is the pitch angle. I can't seem to get the combination of rod lengths, servo arm distance, etc. which will deliver the pitch ranges as documented in the R60 manual.
My objective is as follows:
Normal: 0,+7,+12
ST-1; -4,+7,+12
ST-2: -7,+7,+12
What am I doing wrong and/or missing ?????
I can't say I'm new at this. I've flown my R30 for about a year. I can do FF,loops, flips, shaky rools, limited nose-in hover, good nose-in FF.
My R60 has:
JR8103 Tx/Rx
Gy401 / S9253 combo
Trinity 5 cell 1100 NiMh Rx pack
JR 517 servos all around
(I intend to upgrade these very soon to FUT S9202 for cyclic, FUT S9252 for the pitch. I'll keep the JR517 for the thro).
Thanks in advance, for any insight you can give me here.

Here is Todd Bennett's way:

N: -5, +5, +10 (govenor set to 1450rpms)
Idle up 1: -10, 0 ,+10 (govenor set 1750)
Idle up 2 same/ (govenor set 1650)

Make sure that you size those links with a Ball Link Sizing Tool, it will give you much better servo performance.

As for all the links, make sure they are all facing TT logo side out.

Hope I helped

Thanks GyroMan,
Your response is appreciated. However, my delima is the pitch angle. I can't seem to get the combination of rod lengths, servo arm distance, etc. which will deliver the pitch ranges as documented in the R60 manual.

Hope this helps. I have the rod length at 77mm and the ball on the servo at 16mm from the center. This is on a futaba servo. Make sure you have the ATV's for the servo at 100%. Good luck

Flighttime,
I used the linkage lengths called out in the manual and everything works fine here. Also, the R-60 will hover at near 4 degrees with a reasonable headspeed. +7 degrees is WAY too much pitch to attempt a hover and will result in excessively low hover headspeed and premature clutch failure. Start out at 4 or 5 degres and shoot for about 1500 RPM in hover. You will find that it likely be hovering near 4 degrees and 1500 rpm.

Thanks Jeff for the input. I'll check my lengths again(for the fourth time).

I may be wrong but his is how I set-up my Raptor 60. I put the transmitter into st-2 mode. Then I put the stick at full low. I then attached the pitch guage and mounted the servo arm where -7 was on the pitch gauge. Then I adjust the full stick position(by pitch curve) to +10 on mine. (I have to limit the pitch curve so that it only hits +10. In Throttle hold I have the pitch go to +12. After you set the ST-2, all you have to do is to adjust (increase the lowest point) the pitch curve for the pitch you want at each point. Maybe you've already done it this way but that's the way I did it.
