Stules,

You can see all the parts that come in the kit and how they are assembled by looking at the manual.
Click here to see the manual. What comes in the kit is listed in the bags and the hirobo parts needed are highlighted in blue across the manual.

Thanks Augusto.
You have obviously put a lot of effort into the manual. Commendable.
A couple of questions if I may.......

Just out of curiosity, what is the target market for the Avant?
Is it 3D'ers in the US scene or is it versitile enough to fit into F3C which seems to be dominant in Asia and Europe.

In what areas do you feel it excells over the X-Spec or Evo. A higher CG and higher power/weight ratio are two areas previoulsy mentioned. Any other points worth mentioning?

I will compare the Stratus and the Avant. I have both, and can say the Stratus feels fast in the cyclic and is a little scary fast and not as stable takes more movment fo the sticks to keep it strait and level. The Avant is by no meens slow, but feels more balanced, its like flying a feather, point the stick and it gose there without to much effort. Now my Stratus has some mods to it, and the Avant I was flying was an Xspec convertion and I was not useing the mixer uppgrades that come with it Avant. I have now put the new evo head on the Avant to help fix the tracking problems until the new Avant head comes out. First flight this weekend it was a little slower, but very stable, will have more flights after a few tweeks next weekend. They are both excelent birds, I my oppinion the jurry is still out on which one is best, but I won't get ride of either.

The Avant EFX and FX feature a CCPM system that uses a common center of rotation that virtually eliminates the interaction commonly found on other systems.

This is a great design Kyosho has been using it for years on the upper end Caliber ships.

Augusto do you plan on making a conversion kit for converting Freya's to the 8:08 gearing? Seems like it would be a hit.

"Six and 2 threes"

I have both Fury Extreme and Avant FX. I have flown the Fury a lot and enjoy it, the Avant has only just been run in and I have not wrung it out yet, but already feels very good.

The Avant is more 'locked in' both forward and backwards flight. It benefits from a tweaked Freya head design. The Fury has never been as predictable backwards inverted as the Freya or Avant.

There is much less cyclic interaction with the Avant. Manoeuvers do not screw out as much on the Avant. I have sat and watched both Fury and Avant swashplates fore/aft and left/right, the geometry is better on the Avant.

There is more cyclic throw available on the Avant without binding. This allows you to have heavier paddles for stability but maintain good cyclic rate. The only problem with this that it is easier to load the engine by stalling the blades. So you can't have too much throw.

The collective rate is awesome together with the cyclic, this adds up to 'easier' tic-tocs even on a slightly rich engine. Vertical climb outs are fast. Anyone fancy a race?

Still, the Fury has its own charm and I would sad to part with it. I suppose the Stratus is closer matched to the Avant than the Extreme, but I have not flown one yet. I am sure there is very little 'real' difference between these 2 fine machines. It will be down to individual taste.

For now I prefer the Avant.

The out of track issue with the MAH blades is not an specific Avant FX issue but a Freya/X-spec issue. The EVO-90 head handles the MAH blades without any out of tracking. The Avant EFX head mods on the EVO-90 head put the head ratios and response of the EVO-90 head inside the Avant ratios range.

Yes what little testing I have done the tracking issue is gone. I was even haveing a little tracking issue with v-blades it wasn't as bad, but it was there. But Evo head should be ready for some good testing this weekend and I'll let you know, just have to do a little tweeking to get the cyclic back were it was.
