oh I forgot to mention that beside being lighter and head being heavily modified another thing that made the difference is that the engine is mounted about 1.8 inches higher. Notice that the main gear is above the boom so it brings the engine closer to the CG and therefore the mass moment of inertia is minimized making it super easy to rotate the mass via flips or rolls. That's one of the the reasons why it makes it so quick on rolls and flips without losing stability.

AWESOME!!

Yeah, I did get to fly it (thanks buddy)! I was impressed. It has a lot of collective authority, more than any other machine I've flown. I didn't notice any ccpm interaction. It's really light on it's feet. I'd love to auto it - I bet it'd float forever.

So.... nvert... how 'bout letting me try my ultra low inverted auto with it? Uh, hold on, my sceedo is over here screaming in the corner, "NO....NO.... Not again!!"

I was setting up my new machine today, and I noticed that it has tons of collective authority. I turned it down to about 8 elevator and aileron but I could turn it up as high as 10 or 11, without swash plate binding. My question is, At those rates, is it too responsive to fly? My ccpm settings on swash plate rate are 32 ail, 32 elevator,22 pitch. Those are pretty low and I have 10 and 10 top and bottom. What is everyone else running?
Thanks,
Kym

Actually it's very responsive but still very stable at the same time. You might want to try using the inner balls location in the mixing arms.

So how much collective authority do you have on ail and elev?
Thank Kym

I set aileron and elevator a little bit before binding but I use the inner holes of the mixing arms so that tames it a bit.
I forgot the actual numbers I used though.
