Thanks for trying DD, but I'm not in europe, And your telling me thay cost like more than 1000$ US? Well, it's obvious that they don't benefit from economies of scale Oh well, maybe a bit to rich for my blood, Not to mention that I cant even get the catalogue page to load.

Thanks anyway

Buzz,

$1000 is cheap. If you saw the quality of this heli you'd know what a bargain it is. I haven't seen any Bergen helis but this is on a par
with the XLSE which is a few hundred more. Ya get what ya pay for.

When was the last time you looked at the fury extreme? Weighs the same, uses the same motor, parts availability much higher, support much higher. Probably cheaper to fix. Gives you a choice of engines, rather than getting some wierd crankshaft to make it run. What if i want to run a YS80, or a webra 75??? They both put out gobs of power.

Jon,

It's probably just me. I appreciate really nicely made parts. I sell high end machined parts and have more of an appreciation as to what is required to make these types of parts. That is why I like the XL SE and the Pro and the 3D NT. All of the machined parts are a thing of beauty and make the additional cost worth while to me.

I noticed on your profile that you have a Raptor with a 46 in it. I do too. It's a nicely done piece but it's not on a par with the high end XL's or the NT.

You are right. You can only use an engine with a special crankshaft in the Henseleit and parts are not available at the LHS although I understand that Jan Henseleit is really good with parts support. I'm sure I'll find out. I think the Webra and another brand of engine other than the OS are available with a 8mm long crankshaft. I am not sure if the YS is available with the required crank.

It really depends on what you want. If you want a beautifully made heli that will run on FAI fuel with only 12% oil and do 3D with the best of them and looks different and has a different mechanical set up than what every one else at the field is flying than the Henseleit is the way to go. If, on the otherhand, you want to be one of the boys and have what they have than by all means buy exactly what they are flying and when they change follow right along.

I opt to be a little different. It's more interesting that way.

Im not saying that I even think that the raptor could be as nice as any of the X-cells, becuase I know it isn't. But, the X-cell fury I believe is very nice, As nice as the Pro SE, except for the plastic rotor grips. Although their reasoning for using plastic grips is complicated and justified. I just dont know why I dont see any other great "Curtis like" pilots flying a 3D, in fact i've never even seen one in person, Hell to mention it, I'd like to see someone beating the **** outta one of them in a video. I dont even know if they fly well. I don't care if you've got the BEST parts in the world; that doesn't neccessarily make it fly.

I flew an X-cell Pro 2K just today, I didnt really want to but the guy insisted and really needed the help. I dont see whats so special, other than it was kinda jacked up in the controls, that coulda been part of it.

Hi Jon,

here You can download Jan´s flight with his NT at the 3D combat in Röttingen, Germany last year.

http://www.yesyes.rc1.at/Videos/2/Henseleit_Kuer.mpg

I personally have my second NT since 2 month. I cannot compare with the Fury Extreme, but with the Robbe Millenium with Webra 91 or a Raptor 60. The NT running really smooth, you only need spare parts when you crash it, nothing will fail in normal 3d use. You first will have to get used to it but after 10 flights, every other helicopter is boring.
Spare parts are cheap compared to Robbe Millenium and the availability is superb. All parts are in your post box within two days.

Thanks for that video link Christian, I saw a few demo flights at the 3DMasters the other weekend, but didn't have the hardware to capture it.

I'll never look at another '3D' model again for a fair while - I love mine to bits!

Cheers
Richard.

Are the carbon parts that connect the frame to the skids - part of the frame, or do they bolt on? I mean the skid "stuts" sort of. What parts are commonly broken in a crash, other than the ones Iv'e mentioned.

Hi Jon,

the carbon plates the skids are connected to are not part of the frame. You can order them seperately (0339).

If You have a severe crash You will need:

tailboom
mainshaft
spindle
"Paddelstage" 0132 I do not know the english word
tailrotorshaft
canopy ?
part 916e
4*0122

You will not be able to crash the frame. I never heard of somebody who damaged it.

Hi all

@Christian, "Paddelstange" is the "flybar" in english.

I have 4 friends, two of them have even two of the 3DNT's.
I will get soon one new 3DNT.

Why?

-Because he has about a half less parts than any other High End helicopter! => less building time
-Because this machine is VEEERY quiet on 1200rpm and still 3D is possible!!!!
-The mechanical concept is unique! Very strong frame! By a crash, 90% the frame will not break!
-Maintaining this helicopter is a breeze!! Material consumption is almost nothing!

But this Heli will not hover like a XL!!!!!!!!!!! If you want both, XL is to prefer.

Kind regards
Martin
