hi, i'm wanting to get a Lama SR from hong kong, but i live in Australia....

i have some questions..... i want mode 2... but which frequencies are available in mode 2?

the site here: http://model.hirobo.co.jp/products/0301-905/index.html

it says only 35Mhz and 72MHZ has mode 2?

i think running 72Mhz is illegal in Australia.. anyone know about 35Mhz????

we normally run 36Mhz.. so i cant run it with my 9X :\ unless i get a new module.. which i wont....

i think 40 is ok in australia.... but it doesnt seem to come in mode 2?

can someone clarify for me?

am very very keen to get this heli.. it seems like a great micro heli...

Cheers guys

Loz, try calling Wings N Things. Their website says their getting the Hirobo XRB SR in soon. I'm not sure how old that web page is? I know hobby shops that sell Hirobo XRB's have them available in either mode 1 or 2. Here is the number they gave to call (02) 9816 2699.

Actually you can just get it in any frequency because you will only be flying it in your house and it won't make a difference what the frequency is. You can just get one from cyberheli in mode 2.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I lived in Hong Kong, and bought this heli without transmitter at 72M.
Through my Futaba 6XH setting, mode 1 or mode 2 can be used.

If you can only find mode I and need to convert it to mode II, below is the method that is proved workable

1. open the box.
2. find 6 colour wires for throttle & elevator.
3. 6 wires in order 1-2-3-4-5-6.
4. swap the wires & solder in order 6-5-4-3-2-1.
5. move throttle stick's spring & lever to the other side.
6. close the box & trim the heli again

I think you should bought the heli without Tx.

thanks for the heads up alexl....

I've already got a hold of a 72Mhz WITH transmitter version......

so luckily i wont have to mod.... no doubt many people will find your advice handy!!

Now i just have to make sure i dont get into any trouble running 72Mhz...

keep the antennae short and to indoors...
