has anyone out there tried to make a lipo battery suitable for a micro out of any old mobile phone batteries. i have one cell that is 3.7v 1250mah, if i find another surely it would be possible to make a nice 7.4v battery???????

do you like having your house NOT burned down???

there is no way to know the specs of those cells not to mention you have to have them matched....etc, etc. don't mess with it or you may learn the hard way the dangers of lithium batteries, stick with common lithium polymer packs AND chargers that are designed for models

flippin and dippin, flying tail to the ground, I fly my heli's like a rabid greyhound!!!

Cell Phone Lipo Batteries...YES, I do it.

Doodle Bug...
I recently got a hold of 25, 800mah Cell Phone batteries. They were ALL in very good shape and I charged each one seperately... now I just check the voltage after a day of letting them "rest" and can "match" cells that are within .05 volts of each other... Very simple to solder the tabs & add a JST connector OR any other connector you desire. However you MUST use a PROPER CHARGER and follow all safety precautions.... I suggest you read up on Lipo batteries!!!
Any more questions, just email me... I'll be glad to help! I know these darn things are expensive... So I always try to do it "cheaper" BUT, you have to be CAREFULL!
