Yeah Baby,

What an incredible machine! I finally got out and flew a gallon of Wildcat 30% in my Avant yesterday. I was able to dial in the machine and successfully did the following
Tic-Tocks.....Hurricanes.....Funnels......Autos......J-Rocks.....and in the dirt fun! Here are some Pics of the fun. It was COLD, only 39deg with a 20mph wind in our faces.

A photo just in case I blew it away!
High Speed fly bys were fast and on rails!
Having fun beating the machine doing major Tic-Tocks.
The tail first hurricanes were very predictable, fast and smooth.
In the dirt was very stable in this 20mph wind.
More Tic-Tocking.
J-Rocks. Collective is INSANE!
My friends Neil & Steve surviving the COLD by getting warm in front of the Wood Stove. We had to get warm in between all flights.

Hope to have some video when it gets warmer.

The weather is suppose to improve next week. Looks like maybe upper 40's to 50. We will get some video footage of some action.

Hey Gyro......
Good to hear from you Dave. You will like my new Avants. They ROCK! I look forward to flying with you at some FF's this year and as always IRCHA. Are you guys going to have your FF this year? I hope so. I would not want to miss it. It always Rocks!

Hey Dave,
We were planning on a funfly for June, but the owners sold the property we are on. We are trying to get the new owners to let us rent from them, but nothing in stone yet. And we are looking for other places. Sooooooo for now now funfly scheduled. How about you guys? I always enjoy your funfly.

I don't want to steal the thread, so apologies in advance, but what is a J-rock? I'm assuming its in reference to Jim "J-rock" Stark, but what is the manuever?

Thanks,
Angelo

J-Rocks

Angelo,
About three or four irchas ago Jim Stark and I were doing inverted piroueting bounces so when Jim went back to the midwest people started calling the maneuver the J-Rock because Jim was doing them at the midwest funflies.
In the west we call them pogo sticks or bouncing piros.
You can see the maneuver by clicking here

I guess I will have to start saving so I can get an Avant of my own. This may be hard on the budget of a person in high school. I'm gonna say by the end of the summer, which is pretty good.

It wasn't me, it was my thumbs!
