I just lengthened the boom and put longer blades on it, then set the gearing as close as I could to 8.5 and used the OS 46 with about 108% torque and it is close enough for me

Yeah I did that too only I used a OS61 and dropped it to 87%. What is the weight of a R-50? What is the tank size? What length boom did you make it?
I thought someone out there in internetland might have all teh parameters all ready & waiting just to be plugged in without all the trial & error.

The the R50 is less than one oz heavier a little more depending on the blades used. I use a "bottomless" tank so no change there. I think I added one inch to the boom and 600 mm blades. It fly's good but is a little less stable in hover than there real thing especially inverted but well within limits for me
